Things got heated during Seattle Seahawks practice Wednesday at training camp.

The team's session featured several skirmishes, including one between star receiver DK Metcalf and cornerback Tre Brown. A viral video captured during a live shot on NFL Network shows Metcalf swinging Brown's helmet toward the defensive back. The helmet ended up hitting corner K'Von Wallace, one of the players trying to stop the fracas, according to The Associated Press.

The Seahawks' practice had at least five fights, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. It included some pushing and shoving between Brown and wide receiver Jake Bobo, and Tyrel Dodson clashed with tight end Pharaoh Brown during a goal-line drill, notes The Athletic's Michael-Shawn Dugar.

"We're right on the line right now, and I think the guys realize that," Seahawks first-year head coach Mike Macdonald said post-practice. "Like, 'Hey, let's take care of one another.' Definitely don't want people fighting out here and stuff, especially against our own teammates."

Macdonald - who reportedly gathered the team after the incident between Metcalf and Brown - added that the two-time Pro Bowl pass-catcher has spoken to the team.

"DK gave a great message at the end of practice, just kind of put everything in perspective. The guys finished it out the right way," he said.

"I think we're tired of going against one another," the coach added ahead of the Seahawks' preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.

Metcalf had issues with penalties last season, as he drew five personal fouls in 2023. The 26-year-old was ejected for his role in a scuffle during a December game against the San Francisco 49ers.
