Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced that edge rusher Jaelan Phillips is coming off the PUP list and will practice on Monday, according to Armando Salguero of OutKick.

Phillips was sidelined to start training camp after sustaining an Achilles injury during a November game. The 2021 first-round pick is a key member of the Dolphins' defense in 2024 and amassed 52 QB hits and 22 sacks through his first 42 NFL appearances.

The 25-year-old - who posted a career-high 8.5 sacks as a rookie - recorded 6.5 sacks in just eight games in 2023 before going down with his season-ending injury.

"I'm ready to hit somebody," Phillips said Monday, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network.

McDaniel also announced on Monday that receiver Odell Beckham Jr. still isn't able to practice and is considered week-to-week, per Salguero. The 31-year-old - who signed with Miami this year - is dealing with undisclosed injuries.

Two-time Pro Bowl pass-rusher Bradley Chubb - the projected starter opposite Phillips - also remains on the PUP list after sustaining a torn ACL in December.

With Phillips and Chubb battling injuries, the Dolphins added multiple pass-rushers during the offseason, including first-round rookie Chop Robinson and Emmanuel Ogbah, a veteran who was released by Miami in February but re-signed with the team in July.
