Chargers, Dicker agree to reported 4-year, $22M extension
The Los Angeles Chargers signed placekicker Cameron Dicker to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.
Dicker inked a four-year, $22-million extension that includes $12.5 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Dicker is now under contract through the 2028 season.
The deal's $5.5-million average annual value ranks fifth among all kickers, according to Over The Cap. The Kansas City Chiefs' Harrison Butker leads the position with an average salary of $6.4 million.
Dicker has appeared in 27 games for the Chargers, making 94.3% of his field goals and 100% of his extra-point attempts.
The Texas product's 94.5% career field-goal completion rate would be the best in NFL history if he had enough attempts to qualify. He's attempted 55 field goals and needs at least 100 to be the official all-time leader.
The 24-year-old has also handled kickoff duties for the Chargers. He's posted an 84% touchback rate with the club.
