Report: Chiefs' Brown expected to miss entire regular season
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is expected to miss all of the regular season due to a shoulder injury that requires surgery, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The wideout isn't expected to return until mid-January at the earliest, so it's still possible that he could appear in the postseason, Schefter adds.
The Chiefs placed Brown on injured reserve Friday. He'll undergo surgery Monday to repair the dislocated sternoclavicular joint in his shoulder, sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The Oklahoma product suffered the injury in Kansas City's first preseason game. He was transported to a hospital for further evaluation but was released the following morning. Head coach Andy Reid said a few days after the game that the injury wouldn't require surgery.
Although Brown was feeling better, recent imaging revealed that the joint wasn't healing correctly, per Schultz.
Brown signed a one-year deal worth up to $7 million with the Chiefs this offseason. He spent the first three years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.
