Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram is out for the team's Week 2 matchup against the Cleveland Browns after sustaining a hamstring injury in pregame warmups, the team announced Sunday.
Engram is expected to be replaced by a combination of Luke Farrell and Brenton Strange.
The 30-year-old was one of the NFL's most productive tight ends in 2023. He tallied 963 yards and four touchdowns on 114 receptions en route to the second Pro Bowl selection of his career.
Engram was less impactful in the team's Week 1 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He was targeted four times but finished with just one reception for five yards.
