Kittle doubtful vs. Rams with hamstring injury
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Friday that tight end George Kittle is doubtful to suit up for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring injury, according to NFL Network's Clayton Holloway.
Kittle's injury is the latest to hit the 49ers' offense. Shanahan revealed earlier this week that wide receiver Deebo Samuel is slated to miss a few weeks with a calf sprain, while running back Christian McCaffrey is on injured reserve with Achilles tendinitis.
Pass-rusher Nick Bosa and cornerback Charvarius Ward are also questionable for Sunday. Bosa is dealing with a rib injury while Ward is suffering from hamstring and knee ailments.
Kittle popped up on the injury report Thursday after missing practice.
Eric Saubert is behind Kittle on the tight end depth chart. Saubert, 30, has caught two passes for 26 yards this season. He has 38 receptions since entering the league in 2017.
