Colts' Richardson ruled out vs. Steelers with hip injury
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson left Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a hip injury.
Richardson sustained the injury late in the first quarter after being hit while sliding near the end zone. He then walked straight to the locker room. Richardson returned to the sideline but was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game. Joe Flacco replaced him under center.
The Steelers also banged up Richardson minutes earlier on that same drive. He seemingly grabbed his hip at the end of a run after colliding with multiple defenders. Richardson was looked at on the sideline but managed to return.
Richardson was off to a hot start prior to getting injured, completing three of his four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. He also had three carries for 24 yards.
The Colts entered the game with a 1-2 record, while the Steelers arrived with an undefeated mark of 3-0.
