New York Jets fans won't have to wait much longer to see Davante Adams on the field.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Wednesday that he expects the wide receiver to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Adams joined the Jets on Tuesday after requesting a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. The star wideout missed his last three games with Vegas due to a hamstring injury.

Ulbrich said that Adams will be a full participant during Wednesday's walk-through, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Aaron Rodgers won't be on the field for that session, but the star quarterback will be available against the Steelers as he continues to play through an ankle sprain, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

The Jets acquired Adams in exchange for a conditional third-round draft selection and a late-round pick swap, reuniting the three-time All-Pro pass-catcher with Rodgers, his former QB on the Green Bay Packers.

Adams helped Rodgers win three of his four NFL MVP awards, including the wideout's rookie season in 2014. He also led the league with 18 touchdown receptions in 2020 and earned five Pro Bowl berths before Green Bay traded him to Las Vegas during the 2022 offseason. The Packers then traded Rodgers to the Jets in 2023.

In three games this season, Adams caught 18 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown. He'll now form a solid trio of receivers alongside Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard, also a former teammate of Adams who leads the Jets with five TD catches in 2024.

New York started the season 2-1 but has since lost three in a row.
