Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis says there's no chance his team trades All-Pro edge rusher Maxx Crosby.

The Raiders dropped to 2-4 with Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and traded receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets on Tuesday. With the NFL Nov. 5 trade deadline approaching, there have been rumors that Las Vegas could focus on its rebuild and deal Crosby to add significant draft capital in exchange for its best player.

"There's so much outside chatter that is not true," Davis recently said, according to Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed of The Athletic. "It's not coming from any sources. It's not coming from anything. My basic thing is never to answer all that stuff because, otherwise, you get trapped in this black hole. It's just not happening."

Adams requested a trade from the Raiders earlier this season amid the team's inconsistent start to the 2024 campaign. However, Crosby - who's been with the team since 2019 - has repeatedly said he wants to remain with Las Vegas.

"You know where I want to be," Crosby said on Oct. 6, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez. "You think I want to be anywhere else? No. I got this shit tatted on my body. I don't want to go anywhere."

An unknown team asked the Raiders about Crosby's availability earlier this year and floated a first-round pick as a potential trade return for the three-time Pro Bowler, but Las Vegas didn't even entertain it, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Crosby set a career high with 14.5 sacks in 2023. One of the league's best run defenders, the 27-year-old led the NFL in tackles for loss in each of the last two seasons. He's No. 1 in the league in that category once again so far in 2024 with nine.

There have been rumors about the Detroit Lions acquiring an established pass-rusher after losing Aidan Hutchinson, the NFL sack leader who recently underwent surgery to repair a fractured tibia and fibula.
