Report: 49ers' Guerendo unlikely to play Sunday vs. Dolphins
San Francisco 49ers running back Isaac Guerendo is unlikely to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins because of a hamstring injury, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Guerendo was questionable for last week's contest because of a foot injury but played through the ailment and tallied 57 rushing and 18 receiving yards on 20 touches.
Last week's contest was the second start of the 24-year-old's career. He was thrust into the starting lineup with Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Mason, and Elijah Mitchell all on injured reserve with season-ending injuries.
Patrick Taylor Jr. and Israel Abanikanda are the only healthy running backs on San Francisco's active roster. Practice squad back Ke'Shawn Vaughn could also be elevated for the contest.
The 49ers (6-8) have a less than 1% chance of making the postseason even if they win their remaining three games, according to the NYT playoff simulator.
