Jason Peters set to retire after 19 seasons

Nine-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Jason Peters is expected to retire after 19 NFL seasons, Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider told reporters Tuesday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 43-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Seahawks but didn't appear in a game for Seattle this past campaign. Peters was the oldest active player following Tom Brady's retirement in 2023.

He'll remain with the Seahawks in a player engagement role, working closely with the team's offensive linemen, Schneider told The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta.

Peters spent 11 years with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was a part of their 2017 Super Bowl-winning team. He was selected to the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 2010s.

Peters began his career with the Buffalo Bills in 2004 after going undrafted out of Arkansas. The six-time All-Pro also had stints with the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.
