The New England Patriots have given defensive tackle Davon Godchaux permission to seek a trade, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Contact has already been established with interested teams, Rapoport adds. The move is because the Patriots are shifting their defensive scheme.
The 30-year-old has started 67 of a possible 68 games during his four-year stay in New England.
The Patriots signed Godchaux to a two-year extension worth $18 million last offseason. He is due $4 million in base salary for 2025, according to Over The Cap.
