Report: Jaguars releasing Engram after 3 seasons
The Jacksonville Jaguars are releasing Evan Engram, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Jacksonville save $5.98 million in cap space by moving on from the tight end, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The team is also cutting former Pro Bowl returner Devin Duvernay, cornerback Ronald Darby, and wide receiver Josh Reynolds, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Engram joined Jacksonville on a one-year contract in March 2022. The club franchise tagged him in 2023 before the sides agreed to a three-year, $41.25-million extension.
Engram totaled 234 receptions for 2,094 yards and nine touchdowns in three years in Jacksonville. His best season came in 2023 when he hauled in 114 passes for 963 yards to earn a Pro Bowl nod.
The 30-year-old finished with 47 receptions, 365 yards, and one touchdown in 2024, though a torn labrum limited him to nine games.
The New York Giants drafted Engram in the first round in 2017.
Jacksonville reportedly traded wide receiver Christian Kirk to the Houston Texans earlier Thursday.
