Cooper Kupp revealed Tuesday that he had a lot of questions after recently being released by the Los Angeles Rams, but the new Seattle Seahawks receiver said he can't wait to play for his hometown team.

"It's been difficult, in all honesty, it's been very difficult and frustrating," Kupp said during his introductory press conference with Seattle, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. "It's a real tough situation. I've said I've always imagined that I finish my career (with the Rams), but that's not what the plan was that God had for me and my family."

The Yakima, Washington, native joined the Seahawks last week on a three-year, $45-million contract after being released by Los Angeles, with whom he spent his first eight NFL seasons.

"We're very excited about what the future holds here in Seattle," Kupp said, adding that joining the Seahawks feels like a "full-circle moment" for him.

The 31-year-old ranks in the top five in Rams history for every major receiving category, having recorded 634 catches, 7,776 receiving yards, and 57 touchdowns in 104 NFL appearances.

The 2017 third-round pick notably posted one of the greatest wide receiver seasons ever in 2021, capturing the NFL's receiving triple crown before capping off that campaign with a Super Bowl MVP award. However, injuries have limited Kupp to 12 or fewer games in each of the last three seasons.

"I'm sure they have their reasons for why they wanted to do things and whatever it is, not a ton of clarity in that regard," he said of his former team.

"I still see myself playing this game at a very high level. I see myself as an ascending player. Any narrative that is any different, I think, is just someone that hasn't watched a whole lot of film," Kupp added, according to NFL Network.

The veteran wideout posted a 67-710-6 stat line in his final year with the Rams, who signed Davante Adams to serve as one of their top offensive weapons in 2025 alongside Puka Nacua.

In Seattle, Kupp joins a WR depth chart headlined by Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The Seahawks traded DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers and released Tyler Lockett earlier this year.

The former All-Pro will continue to wear No. 10 in Seattle after working out a deal with Uchenna Nwosu to obtain the jersey number by donating to the edge rusher's foundation.
