Report: Josh Johnson continuing career with Commanders

Journeyman quarterback Josh Johnson isn't ready to call it a career just yet.
Johnson is signing a one-year deal with the Washington Commanders, sources told The Athletic's Ben Standig.
The 38-year-old has appeared in just 45 games over his career but holds a league record having previously spent time with 14 NFL franchises. He's also played for several teams in other football leagues.

He'll compete with Marcus Mariota and Sam Hartman for backup duties behind reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels.
Johnson has only made nine NFL starts during his lengthy career as a backup. The 2008 fifth-rounder has thrown for 2,297 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions.
