Former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart won't fall past the ninth overall pick in Thursday's draft, CBS Sports' Aditi Kinkhabwala reports.

New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore likes Dart, per Kinkhabwala. The Saints own the No. 9 pick, but another team could leapfrog them to secure the signal-caller.

Dart led the SEC with 4,279 yards and a 69.3% completion rate in 2024. He also threw for 29 touchdowns against six interceptions. The 6-foot-2, 223-pounder led the nation with 10.8 yards per attempt and a 180.7 NCAA passer rating.

Dart spent three seasons with Ole Miss after one campaign with USC. He threw for 11,970 yards, 81 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions across 45 appearances with the Rebels and Trojans.

Saints quarterback Derek Carr could miss the 2025 campaign because of a shoulder injury. The team is not expected to have clarity on Carr's situation ahead of the draft, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The only other signal-callers on the roster are Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener, and Ben DiNucci.
