Report: Bucs hiring Falcons' Robinson as OC

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hiring Zac Robinson as their offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Robinson, 39, spent the past two seasons as the Atlanta Falcons' offensive coordinator after previously serving as an assistant on Sean McVay's staff on the Los Angeles Rams.

The Buccaneers fired offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard earlier in January after his first season with the team. Tampa Bay ranked 21st in total offense and 18th in scoring.

Baker Mayfield struggled in the second half, ranking 30th in passer rating from Weeks 7-18. Mayfield completed 63% of his passes for 3,693 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 17 starts.

Robinson will be Tampa Bay's fifth offensive coordinator in as many seasons. Atlanta was 14th in total offense but only 24th in scoring.

In 2024, the Buccaneers owned the NFL's No. 3 offense under offensive coordinator Liam Coen, who is now head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Falcons had the sixth-ranked offense in Robinson's first season.
