The Detroit Lions announced the release of kicker Alex Henery on Monday.

Henery, who missed each of his three field goal attempts Sunday, was signed two weeks ago upon release from the Philadelphia Eagles.
In two games with the Lions, Henery converted on 1-of-5 field goal attempts.
