Falcons' Julio Jones misses practice Thursday

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones missed team practice for the second consecutive day Thursday as he continues to deal with a strained oblique, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure.

Jones may be in line for a week of rest after managing to suit up for Sunday's win over the New Orleans Saints, but his status remains something to monitor.

The 25-year-old is one of the NFL's most dominant receivers and his availability would certainly go a long way toward the Falcons' chances of defeating the Carolina Panthers for the NFC South title on Sunday.
