Cardinals' Patrick Peterson says he's 'diabetes-free' heading into upcoming season

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson says he's "diabetes-free" heading into the upcoming season.

Peterson was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last October and after curbing his nutrition to control the symptoms, his play notably improved toward the back half of last season.

Now, with further focus on monitoring his diet, sugar level and blood pressure, Peterson says he has reversed the disease and is currently "diabetes-free". Furthermore, Peterson expressed that he has lost "a lot" of weight and feels rejuvenated heading into the upcoming campaign, which is certainly encouraging news from the four-time Pro Bowl cornerback.
