Cornerbacks and safeties were the final groups to take part in on-field drills at the NFL Scouting Combine on Monday.

Jonathan Jones and T.J. Green stole the show in the main event, demonstrating some blazing straight-line speed in posting the top two 40-yard dash times.

A pair of first-round prospects weren't far off the pace, though. Eli Apple and Jalen Ramsey each managed to crack the top eight on the day.

Jonathan Jones Auburn 4.33 sec

Kevon Seymour USC 4.39 sec
Eli Apple Ohio St. 4.40 sec
Jalen Ramsey Florida St. 4.41 sec

Cornerback Vernon Hargreaves - another potential first-round pick - checked in slightly further down the board, but his run still confirms that he has more than enough speed to translate a complete skill set to the next level.

Mackensie Alexander and Vonn Bell were among the notable names unable to participate due to injury.
