Predators trade Glass, picks to Penguins
The Nashville Predators traded center Cody Glass, a 2025 third-round pick, and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins for forward Jordan Frasca, the teams announced.
Glass carries a cap hit of $2.5 million and will be a restricted free agent in 2025.
A 6-foot-3 center, Glass' best season came in 2022-23 when he recorded 14 goals and 21 assists in 72 games with the Preds. He failed to replicate that success in 2023-24 when he managed just 13 points in 41 games.

Glass was drafted sixth overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017. After a pair of underwhelming, injury-riddled seasons in Sin City, he was traded to Nashville in 2021 for Nolan Patrick.
The deal gives the Predators, who were dangerously close to the cap ceiling, some much-needed flexibility. Nashville still has a pair of RFAs to sign in Phil Tomasino and Juuso Parssinen.
The Penguins are now also close to the cap ceiling. This is the second trade they made Tuesday to increase their draft capital, though, after swinging a deal with the St. Louis Blues.
Frasca, 23, spent the majority of the last two seasons in the ECHL.
