Kings' Jeannot suspended 3 games for high hit on Boeser
Los Angeles Kings winger Tanner Jeannot was suspended three games for his illegal check to the head of Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser on Thursday, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Friday.
Here's a look at the hit:
Boeser exited the game after the hit and was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the contest. His status moving forward remains unclear. The 27-year-old leads the Canucks with six goals this season after potting a career-high 40 in 2023-24.
This marks the first career suspension for Jeannot, a five-year NHL veteran. The former Tampa Bay Lightning and Nashville Predators forward was previously fined once, in 2022, for kneeing.
The Canucks overcame the Boeser injury to collect a 4-2 victory, extending their win streak to three games.
