Report: Minnesota, Colorado to host Stadium Series games next season
The NHL is reportedly set to announce a pair of outdoor games for next season that will be hosted by the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche, respectively.
The announcement is expected to be made this weekend, Bob McKenzie of TSN and NBCSN reports.
Minnesota's opponent is expected to be the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Avalanche will play the Detroit Red Wings, according to the report.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman confirmed the league was working toward getting the Wild an outdoor contest back in December and the Denver Post reported in November that Coors Field was very likely to host a game next season.
