Scott Walker is a member of the Vancouver Canucks again.
General manager Jim Benning announced Walker's hiring as a player development consultant Friday, and the former NHLer "will work directly with Canucks prospects."
Walker had been in training camp with the Canucks this fall. He played 829 games over 15 seasons, after being drafted by Vancouver in 1993.
Walker has extensive experience working with young players after spending five seasons as head coach of the OHL's Guelph Storm, winning a title in 2013-14.
