Boston Fleet forward Kelly Babstock has been suspended two games for slew-footing Toronto Sceptres winger Jesse Compher, the PWHL announced Saturday.

The incident occurred in the final seconds of the Sceptres' 4-2 victory over the Fleet on Wednesday when both players were lined up for a faceoff. Babstock was assessed a match penalty for her actions.

The league found that Babstock exhibited "no attempt to play the puck as she uses her right leg to kick Compher's skates out from underneath of her ... causing her to fall violently towards the ice."

This is the second suspension of Babstock's 10-game PWHL career. She was also banned one contest for cross-checking in January.

The 32-year-old won't be eligible to return until April 26 against Toronto after the break for the World Women's Championship.

Boston is currently in third place of the league with an 8-6-4-7 record.
