- Renan Barao will once again have to wait for his chance to recapture bantamweight gold. Set for a rematch with champion T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 186 in April, the bout was pulled off the card after the Team Alpha Male product suffered a fractured rib while training. Luckily, the injury isn't serious and the bout should be rescheduled in the next few weeks.
- Urijah Faber will sojourn back into the featherweight division against former lightweight kingpin Frankie Edgar at UFC Fight Night 66 in Manila on May 16. A victory over Edgar would be a gargantuan feather in Faber's cap, and could eventually lead to a bout with teammate Dillashaw in the future (should they agree to fight).
- Marcos Galvao climbed the Bellator bantamweight mountain with a scintillating kneebar victory over Joe Warren at Bellator 135 in the waning days of March. Galvao has now racked up four consecutive wins since losing to former division kingpin Eduardo Dantas in 2013.
