Georgia star pass-rusher Mykel Williams is uncertain to play against Tennessee Tech on Saturday due to a Grade 2 left ankle sprain, head coach Kirby Smart announced Monday, according to ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

Smart classified Williams' injury as "week-to-week" but added that it's not a long-term issue.

Williams was injured in Georgia's 34-3 rout of Clemson and sported a walking boot postgame.

Defensive tackle Warren Brinson is also banged up with a bruised ankle.

It's set to be a big year for Williams after recording 4.5 sacks in each of his first two seasons. The junior edge rusher is expected to be a premier prospect should he declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
