The Carolina Panthers and right tackle Taylor Moton have agreed on a multi-year extension, the club announced Thursday.
The deal is for four years and worth $72 million, including $43 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Moton's extension works out to an average annual value of $18 million, making him the NFL's sixth highest-paid offensive tackle.
The Panthers placed the franchise tag on Moton earlier this offseason. His extension comes just before Thursday's 4:00 p.m. ET deadline to sign tagged players to long-term contracts.
The 26-year-old has started every game for Carolina since 2018. Moton was PFF's 13th-ranked tackle in 2020, and he was called for only one penalty last season.
