New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers expects to be great in the NFL right out of the gate during his rookie season.

"It's just the way my mind thinks, you know," Nabers told Steve Serby of the New York Post. "I was brought here for a reason. I was brought here to make plays, to be a difference-maker. That's all I know. I came up just like that. I want to be a player that makes plays soon as I get out there. That's how I'm made."

The Giants selected Nabers - one of the top prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft -sixth overall. The former LSU star was the second receiver off the board behind only Marvin Harrison Jr., who landed with the Arizona Cardinals at No. 4.

Nabers enters Year 1 surrounded by high expectations and as the top pass-catcher in a Giants offense missing star power.

"I just think continue to be the player that I have been many years as I've been playing football, to be a difference-maker, get yards after the catch, and just be that person that my QB can count on," Nabers added.

New York hasn't had a receiver with 1,000 yards in a season since Odell Beckham Jr. in 2018, and quarterback Daniel Jones would certainly love to have a new explosive, go-to weapon in what's likely a make-or-break year for him.

Nabers has been one of the Giants' biggest stars early at training camp, producing a few highlight-reel moments.
