Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that wide receiver Cooper Kupp is "trending in the right direction" to return for Sunday's matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN's Sarah Barshop.

Kupp missed the last three games due to a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 2.

McVay says the receiver's practices throughout the week will dictate his availability for Week 7.

"There's a possibility that he'll play, but we'll see how today goes," McVay said. "He's trending in the right direction, but we'll see exactly what that means as the week progresses."

McVay added that Kupp will begin his week with individual drills Wednesday.

The 31-year-old opened the season with 14 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 before adding another four grabs for 37 yards in Week 2 before his injury.
