New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito is questionable for the team's Thanksgiving Day contest against the Dallas Cowboys with a right forearm injury, the team announced Wednesday.

The 26-year-old was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice but did not take part Wednesday. He was undergoing further examination Wednesday and won't travel to Dallas with the team, the club said, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. DeVito is expected to arrive on his own later.

Drew Lock is expected to start if DeVito is unable to suit up Thursday.

DeVito took over the starting job after the team released Daniel Jones last week. He was 21-of-31 passing for 189 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Illinois product appeared in nine games (six starts) last season, completing 64% of his passes for 1,101 yards with eight touchdowns against three interceptions.
