The Las Vegas Raiders are growing more interested in former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, sources told NFL insider Josina Anderson.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has also drawn interest from the Raiders, Anderson adds.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke informally to Carroll recently as well, NFL Network's Jane Slater reports. Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has met with team brass twice and appears to be a top candidate, per Slater.

Carroll was the head coach of the Seahawks from 2010-23, leading the team to a Super Bowl victory in 2013. The 73-year-old was let go by the organization in January 2024 and took a year off from coaching.

The Chicago Bears interviewed Carroll during this coaching cycle but hired Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to lead the team Tuesday.
