Cowboys land Murray from Titans in 2nd trade of day
The Tennessee Titans are trading linebacker Kenneth Murray to the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced Wednesday.
Tennessee will receive a sixth-round pick in exchange for Murray and a seventh-round selection.
It's the second trade of the day for the Cowboys, who also acquired cornerback Kaiir Elam from the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday.
Like Elam, Murray is a former first-round pick who has yet to meet expectations since entering the NFL. The Los Angeles Chargers drafted Murray 23rd overall in 2020, and he spent his first four NFL seasons with the team before signing with the Titans during the 2024 offseason.
The 26-year-old is signed through the 2025 season and has a cap number of $10.1 million this year.
Murray amassed 95 tackles (eight for loss), five QB hits, one interception, and one forced fumble in 14 appearances with Tennessee in 2024. He also set a career high with 3.5 sacks.
Murray joins a group of Cowboys linebackers with questions. Dallas has yet to re-sign free agent Eric Kendricks, while DeMarvion Overshown could miss the 2025 season after sustaining a serious knee injury in December.
