Shedeur: 'You'll be a fool' not to draft me
Highly touted quarterback prospect Shedeur Sanders delivered a strong message to NFL teams considering passing on him during the 2025 draft.
"All I need is an opportunity," Sanders said Friday after Colorado's pro day. "(It's) simple. Whatever franchise wanna change their franchise, then it's no doubt who to go with."
He added: "You'll be a fool not to pick me."
Sanders said he believes his track record at Colorado speaks for itself when asked to pitch himself to interested teams.
"What's the most important trait of a quarterback? Consistency," Sanders responded. "Look at the last four years."
Sanders spent his entire collegiate career playing under his father, Deion Sanders, suiting up for two years at Jackson State before joining Colorado for two seasons. He completed 74% of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in his final campaign under center in 2024.
Sanders' Hall of Fame father said Friday that he thinks the Cleveland Browns will choose his son or two-way star Travis Hunter with the No. 2 overall pick. The Colorado quarterback also met with the Tennessee Titans, who have the No. 1 overall selection. The New York Giants, picking No. 3 overall, are reportedly interested in drafting Sanders.
Sanders is the second-ranked quarterback prospect in theScore's positional rankings for the 2025 NFL Draft.
