Report: Raiders hosting Sanders, other QBs ahead of draft
The Las Vegas Raiders are hosting a group of top quarterback prospects ahead of the NFL draft, sources told The MMQB's Albert Breer.
Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss, Ohio State's Will Howard, and Quinn Ewers of Texas are among those reportedly attending.
The Raiders hold the No. 6 pick in the draft, their highest selection since 2019. The franchise has nine picks in total, including one selection in each of the first five rounds.
Las Vegas is also reportedly hosting running back Ashton Jeanty, tackle Will Campbell, defensive tackle Mason Graham, and edge rusher Josaiah Stewart as part of the team's scheduled top-30 visits.
The Raiders acquired two-time Pro Bowler Geno Smith from the Seattle Seahawks for a third-round pick earlier this offseason. Las Vegas then signed the 34-year-old passer to a two-year extension reportedly worth $75 million. Smith is now under contract through the 2027 season.
The Raiders currently roster quarterbacks Aidan O'Connell and Carter Bradley behind Smith on the depth chart.
Miami's Cam Ward - who's not included in Las Vegas' reported scheduled visits - is widely seen as the top quarterback available in this year's draft and is expected to go first overall to the Tennessee Titans.
