- Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are on a collision course, and it's a pretty good bet they'll renew acquaintances on April 23. A newly reinstated and bulked-up Jones will be looking to recapture the title he never really lost, while Cormier will be out to justify his championship bona fides.
- His title aspirations dashed for the time being, Ryan Bader will try and stay in the top five when he faces off with Anthony Johnson at UFC on FOX 18 in January. Blessed with dynamite in his hands and feet, Johnson, who failed to capture the vacant title in May, could book himself another championship try with a resounding win over Bader.
- After slumping through the first losing streak of his career, Glover Teixeira has racked up two stoppages in a row, choking Ovince Saint Preux into unconsciousness in August before laying waste to Patrick Cummins at UFC Fight Night 77 in November.
- After nearly two years on the shelf dealing with an array of injuries, a ring-rust caked Rashad Evans returned at UFC 192, dropping a unanimous decision to Bader. Looking to stay active, Evans is now targeting a bout against two-time title challenger Alexander Gustafsson to vault himself back into the division's upper echelon.
