Titans place Julio on IR with hamstring injury
The Tennessee Titans have placed wide receiver Julio Jones on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, the team announced Saturday.
As a result, the star wide receiver will miss at least three weeks.
Jones, who joined the Titans from the Atlanta Falcons in an offseason trade, has already been sidelined for three contests this year because of a hamstring ailment. He wasn't listed on the injury report this week.
The 32-year-old has only racked up 336 yards with no touchdowns on 21 receptions through six appearances in 2021.
Tennessee will continue to rely on wide receiver A.J. Brown as its main weapon in the passing game. Additionally, the Titans' depth chart features wideouts Chester Rogers and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, while running back Jeremy McNichols ranks third on the team with 30 targets.
Tennessee lost superstar running back Derrick Henry as well recently after he sustained a foot ailment that'll likely sideline him for the remainder of the 2021 campaign.
The Titans also promoted wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick to the active roster Saturday. Fitzpatrick, a fourth-round pick in this year's draft, has been on the practice squad since the beginning of the season.
