Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has been suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

The announcement follows a report from Bill Huber of Packers on SI stating that Doubs skipped practice Thursday and Friday this week because he's upset with his role in Green Bay's passing game.

"Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week's game," Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said in a statement Saturday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action.

"While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we will be able to move forward in a positive manner. Romeo is a valuable member of our team, and we look forward to welcoming him back next week."

Green Bay plays the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday before taking on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.

Doubs reportedly practiced Wednesday but didn't show up Thursday. The Packers wanted to check on Doubs' well-being, and team representatives later found the wideout at his home, per Huber.

Multiple teams contacted Green Bay this week to inquire about Doubs potentially being available for a trade, according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports. The Packers are reportedly not interested in moving the pass-catcher.

Doubs ranks third on the team with 20 targets this season, behind only Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, who each have 22 targets. Doubs - who has yet to catch a TD in 2024 - has racked up 169 yards. He was targeted eight times in a Week 4 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, a season high for him.

The 24-year-old posted a career year with 59 receptions, 674 yards, and eight touchdowns in 2023.

In addition to Doubs, Green Bay is also missing receiver Christian Watson, listed as doubtful to play in Week 5 due to an ankle injury.
