Miami Dolphins quarterback Tyler Huntley will start Monday Night Football against the Tennessee Titans, head coach Mike McDaniel announced Saturday.

"Snoop (Huntley) knows what is required to win over teammates and lead people," McDaniel said, according to Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post. "We've been very high on Snoop, high enough to give him a roster spot on the 53."

The Dolphins signed Huntley to the active roster after Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills. Miami listed Huntley inactive with the emergency quarterback designation last Sunday versus the Seattle Seahawks.

Skylar Thompson got the start last week but left the contest in the third quarter due to a chest injury and was replaced by Tim Boyle. Thompson was limited in practice all week, and McDaniel said his body wasn't responding well enough to start Sunday, per Schad.

Huntley started 10 games for the Baltimore Ravens over the last three seasons, including their wild-card round defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2022 season.

The 26-year-old has 2,466 total yards with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 20 career contests.
