Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is expected to start against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Herbert was listed as questionable due to an ankle injury that he re-aggravated in the team's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was listed as a limited participant in practice throughout the week.

The Chargers will be without starting offensive tackle Rashawn Slater due to a pectoral injury, and pass-rusher Joey Bosa after he suffered a hip ailment in Week 3. Rookie offensive tackle Joe Alt is listed as doubtful due to a reported MCL sprain.

L.A.'s air attack is off to a slow start this season, ranking 31st in passing yards and pass attempts per game. However, Herbert's been efficient when called upon, completing 67% of his throws for 399 yards with four touchdowns and one interception.

Kansas City's dominated this divisional rivalry in recent years, winning the last five meetings. Herbert owns a 2-5 record in seven starts against the Chiefs.
