2025 NFL mock draft: Post-Super Bowl projections

Julian Catalfo / theScore

Draft season is here.

The completion of the Super Bowl means that the selection order for the 2025 NFL Draft is officially locked in. Here's our latest look at how the first round could shake out.

Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

This isn't the year to force a quarterback pick at the No. 1 spot. The Titans have said they won't pass on a generational talent to do so, and Hunter may be that generational talent. His ability to contribute at a high level on both sides of the ball has the potential to provide incredible value, even if remaining a full-time two-way player is unrealistic.

Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

The Browns are going to have a massive hole to fill on the edge if Myles Garrett has his trade request granted. Carter is the type of game-changer who could make you feel good about punting on QBs until next year.

Cam Ward, QB, Miami

The Giants can afford to take a swing at a quarterback with the elite talents off the board. Ward isn't on the level of last year's top passers, but his arm talent and athleticism give him plenty of upside.

Will Campbell, OL, LSU

New England should be focused on ways to improve the pass protection in front of Drake Maye. Campbell can be a high-end starter at left tackle.

Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

The Jaguars can't overthink this one with needs all over the roster. One of the top talents in this draft, Graham is a potential game-wrecker on the interior defensive line.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Should Sanders really be drafted this early? Maybe not. But the Raiders have to take a swing on a quarterback at some point. The Colorado star's accuracy and toughness could help him overcome concerns about arm strength and athleticism.

Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

A quarterback could have been an option here, but there's no need to get silly with the top two already off the board. Johnson would be an outstanding addition to replace impending free agent D.J. Reed opposite star cornerback Sauce Gardner.

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

This one feels like it makes too much sense not to happen. The Panthers have to improve the supporting cast around Bryce Young, and McMillan is a big-bodied playmaker who has a chance to be a No. 1 receiver at the next level.

James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee

It's going to be a long rebuild in New Orleans. The quarterback position will have to be addressed at some point, but Pearce brings some juice at another important position of need.

Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama

The interior offensive line must be addressed if Ben Johnson is going to recreate the Lions' offense in Chicago. Booker, along with a potential free-agent splash like Trey Smith, could help that unit become a strength for the team right away.

Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas

San Francisco probably needs to start planning for the post-Trent Williams era. Banks can learn alongside the future Hall of Famer before eventually taking over as the long-term starter at left tackle.

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Jeanty being connected to the Cowboys is bound to get boring at some point. Knowing Jerry Jones, this is probably the floor for the Heisman Trophy runner-up.

Josh Simmons, OL, Ohio State

It seems like Tyreek Hill isn't going to force his way out after all. The Dolphins could double up on good news by addressing some major concerns on the offensive line with Simmons, a Day 1 starter at tackle.

Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Warren is an explosive playmaker who will present some difficult matchups from the tight end position. The Colts could use that kind of player to improve a frustrating offense.

Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

Walker could come off the board much earlier than this, but you won't hear any complaints from the Falcons. Whether it's at linebacker, edge, or both, the Georgia star can solve a lot of problems for this defense.

Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

Arizona's defense has to get better up front. Williams has the physical gifts to be an impact pass-rusher off the edge.

Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss

Cincinnati should be focused on the defensive side of the ball after wasting an incredible season from the offense. You can't go wrong collecting pass-rushers, and the Bengals may see shades of Geno Atkins in Nolen.

Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

Green put on a show at the Senior Bowl, proving that his monster production at Marshall was about much more than the level of competition. He's an explosive edge rusher who could help Mike Macdonald's defense take a big step forward.

Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

The Bucs should be pouring resources into the defense after getting torched throughout the season. Barron, the winner of this year's Jim Thorpe Award as the top defensive back in the country, could provide an immediate upgrade either in the slot or on the boundary.

Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

The Broncos end up with a steal thanks to the undervaluing of the safety position. Starks is a playmaker who can contribute from several different spots in the secondary, further strengthening one of the league's best defenses.

Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

Burden is a dynamic athlete who can win at all levels of the field and make things happen after the catch. The Missouri standout could be an excellent complement to George Pickens in addressing one of Pittsburgh's most glaring needs.

Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

The Chargers are another team that has to add a receiver early. Egbuka would step in alongside Ladd McConkey to give Justin Herbert an impressive young duo.

Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina

Green Bay needs to bolster the defense to keep pace with the rest of the teams in a wildly competitive NFC North. Revel has the kind of athleticism that checks all the boxes in the Packers' scouting department.

Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

The Vikings could use some help at several different spots on defense, but the idea of rounding out the offense with a high-end running back prospect is also pretty enticing. Hampton could be an every-down star from the jump.

Armand Membou, OL, Missouri

Improving the offensive line will be crucial in getting C.J. Stroud back on track. Membou could contribute as a Day 1 starter either as a right tackle or inside guard.

Josh Conerly Jr., OL, Oregon

The Rams are a potential quarterback team with Matthew Stafford's future uncertain. Offensive line is an area of need either way, though, and Conerly could take over at left tackle with Alaric Jackson heading for free agency.

Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M

Stewart managed just 1.5 sacks in each of his three seasons at Texas A&M. The relative lack of production pushes him down the board, potentially giving the Ravens a steal. This defense could make the most out of his unique physical gifts.

Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

The Lions should be in the market for a running mate for Aidan Hutchinson. Scourton had 10 sacks with Purdue in 2023 before transferring to Texas A&M and recording another five as a junior.

Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

Washington's offense ranked third in both yards and points despite a rookie quarterback having a below-average group of pass-catchers outside of Terry McLaurin. Adding Golden could help this group take another step.

Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

Look for the Bills to trust that their young receivers will develop and focus instead on some shortcomings in the defensive backfield. Morrison's stock has fallen a bit since his six-interception freshman season, but he could still be an immediate starter at cornerback.

Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State

Trey Smith hitting the free-agent market will leave a massive hole at guard. Jackson, who slid out to left tackle for Ohio State midseason, could also give the Chiefs an interesting option if neither of their young guys pan out on the blind side.

Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

The Eagles investing in edge rushers feels like a lock. Josh Sweat is scheduled for free agency, Brandon Graham is heading for retirement, and Howie Roseman will be looking to make up for the failed Bryce Huff move. Ezeiruaku led the nation with 16.5 sacks this year.
