Quarterback Kenny Pickett has his sights set on the Cleveland Browns' starting job in 2025.

"That's the plan, man," Pickett said Saturday, according to Jerry DiPaola of Trib Total Media. "I'm not going there to hang out. I want to go play. I'm excited, been working hard for it, taking it a day at a time."

Pickett, who was traded to the Browns this offseason, enters a quarterback room that also features recently signed veteran Joe Flacco. Cleveland has been reinforcing the position due to Deshaun Watson's uncertain availability for 2025 after tearing his Achilles again.

Pickett added he's excited to compete and work with Flacco for the starting spot.

A first-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, Pickett started 24 games across two seasons for the franchise before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. He's posted a 14-10 record over his career with 15 touchdowns to 14 interceptions.
