The Baltimore Ravens are bringing in a familiar face, reuniting with pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

His second stint with the club will begin on the practice squad, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec.

Ngakoue played nine games for Baltimore in 2020, recording 11 tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. The 29-year-old spent the 2023 season with the Chicago Bears and was limited to four sacks in 13 appearances.

Once one of football's most promising pass-rushers, Ngakoue has played for five teams since 2020. He spent his first four years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who drafted him in the third round in 2016.

Taking down QBs hasn't been an issue for Ngakoue, who has 69 career sacks and is only two years removed from a 9.5-sack campaign with the Indianapolis Colts. However, the one-time Pro Bowler has struggled as a run defender for most of his career.

Ngakoue will join a group of pass-rushers headlined by Kyle Van Noy, Odafe Oweh, and David Ojabo. Baltimore has been looking for experience and extra depth at the position since losing Jadeveon Clowney to free agency after his standout 2023 season.

The Ravens have 10 sacks in three games in 2024.
